Curtains Care Guide
Thank you for choosing HomeKode curtains. With proper care and maintenance, your curtains will continue to look beautiful and perform well for years to come.
General Care
- Open and close curtains gently to avoid unnecessary strain on the fabric and hardware.
- Regularly dust or vacuum curtains using a soft brush attachment to prevent dust build-up.
- Avoid pulling directly on the fabric when opening or closing the curtains
Cleaning
- Lightly vacuum or shake out dust on a regular basis.
- Spot clean minor marks with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent if required.
- Always test on an inconspicuous area first. For a more thorough clean, we recommend using a professional curtain cleaning service.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaning products.
Sunlight & Environment
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may naturally cause fabrics to fade over time.
- Where possible, use sheers, blinds, or window films to reduce prolonged UV exposure.
Moisture & Humidity
- Ensure the room is well ventilated to help prevent moisture build-up.
- If curtains become damp, allow them to air dry completely before closing them.
- Avoid storing or tying back curtains while they are wet.
Wrinkles & Creases
- Minor creases may naturally relax after the curtains have been hanging for a short period.
- If required, use a garment steamer on a low setting while maintaining a safe distance from the fabric.
- Always follow the care recommendations suitable for the curtain material.
