Lighting Installation Terms & Conditions
HomeKode lighting installation service is available for eligible lighting products purchased from HomeKode and covers the installation of the purchased product at the customer’s delivery address.
The installation service fee covers labor and installation only and does not include electrical modifications, rewiring, ceiling repairs, painting, civil works, scaffolding, special equipment, or any additional work beyond standard installation requirements.
The customer is responsible for ensuring:
- Safe and unobstructed access to the installation location.
- Electrical points are available and functioning.
- The installation area is ready prior to the technician’s arrival.
- Necessary permissions from building management, landlords, or community management have been obtained where required.
- Someone aged 18 or above is present during the installation appointment.
- HomeKode reserves the right to postpone or decline installation if the site is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
- Installation appointments are scheduled subject to technician availability.
- Customers requesting changes to an installation appointment should provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Missed appointments, denied access, or unsuccessful installation visits caused by customer-related issues may result in additional service charges for subsequent visits.
Where applicable, the installation service may include removal of an existing light fixture prior to installation of the new HomeKode product.
Removed fixtures will be left at the customer’s premises unless otherwise agreed.
If a customer requests further visits after the initial installation has been completed, additional service charges may apply.
Examples include:
- Product exchanges.
- Product returns.
- Reinstallation requests.
- Relocation of installed fixtures.
- Additional adjustment visits.
- If a customer returns an installed product and qualifies for a product refund under HomeKode’s return policy, only the eligible product value may be refunded
- Installation service fees are strictly non-refundable once the installation appointment has been completed. Travel to the customer’s location. This applies because the installation service has already been rendered
- If a customer exchanges a product after installation, the original installation fee remains non-refundable.
- Additional installation charges would apply for installation of the replacement product.
8. Electrical and Structural Conditions
- HomeKode technicians are not responsible for pre-existing electrical faults, wiring defects, structural issues, ceiling damage, inadequate mounting surfaces, or concealed site conditions.
- Any issues identified during installation that require specialist electrical, construction, or maintenance work must be resolved before installation can proceed.
HomeKode shall not be liable for:
- Existing electrical defects.
- Hidden wiring conditions.
- Building structural defects.
- Third-party workmanship.
- Delays caused by site conditions beyond our control.
- Customers must inspect the completed installation before the technician leaves the premises and raise any concerns immediately.
By selecting or purchasing HomeKode installation services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Installation Service Terms & Conditions.
HomeKode reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.
