Outdoor Upholstered Furniture Care Instructions

With regular care and protection from the elements, your outdoor upholstered furniture will retain its comfort and appearance for longer.

Regular Care

• Remove dust, sand, and debris regularly using a soft brush or vacuum attachment.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth: avoid rubbing.
• Spot-clean using mild soap and lukewarm water, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry.
• Always test cleaning products on a small, hidden area first.

Drying & Protection

• Allow the upholstery and internal padding to dry completely after cleaning or rain.
• Do not store or cover furniture while it is wet.
• Use a breathable outdoor cover when the furniture is not in use.
• Avoid allowing water to collect on the upholstery or around seams.
• During heavy rain, sandstorms, or extended non-use, keep the furniture in a dry, covered, and well-ventilated area.

Sun, Pool & Coastal Care

• Limit prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight to help reduce fading.
• Clean chlorine, salt water, sunscreen, body oils, and other residues promptly.
• Avoid leaving wet towels or swimwear on upholstered surfaces.

Important Notes

• Outdoor upholstery may be water-resistant but is not necessarily waterproof.
• Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, steam cleaners, or pressure washers.
• Avoid unnecessarily saturating the upholstery, particularly on fixed upholstered furniture.
• Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended for persistent stains or mold.
